Senior Data Scientist – Python, ML & Signal-Processing Berlín Germany

Was sind Deine Aufgaben?

Was solltest Du mitbringen?

Was erwartet Dich?

EU citizenship is valued (but not exclusive).

Lead Blockchain Engineer Berlín Germany

We are hiring a Lead Blockchain Engineer to work on the core protocol powering CEF’s decentralized AI and data infrastructure.

This is not a maintenance role.

This is not a “build a token and ship it” role.

This is a core infrastructure engineering role for someone who wants to design and evolve blockchain systems that operate in production.

CEF is building a decentralized AI and data infrastructure platform, with Cere Network forming the core Web3 data and blockchain backbone of the ecosystem. We are building long-term infrastructure for autonomous AI agents operating on sovereign data.

Your mandate will be to evolve the Cere Protocol Layer 1 blockchain, build critical protocol primitives, and maintain production networks that power decentralized data computing.

If you think in protocols, distributed systems, cryptography, and consensus architectures, this role is for you.

Tasks

1. Architect Core Protocol Infrastructure

Continuously upgrade the Cere Protocol Layer 1 blockchain using Rust and Substrate.

Design and implement custom pallets powering Decentralized Data Clusters (DDC).

Improve protocol performance, reliability, and scalability.

Contribute to core runtime architecture and network evolution.

Maintain long-term protocol sustainability and upgradeability.

We are not looking for someone to ship features.

We are looking for someone to build infrastructure that lasts.

2. Engineer Verifiable Compute

Implement Proof of Compute systems to capture and verify data activity on chain.

Design mechanisms for automated verification and settlement of computation.

Build reliable accounting primitives for decentralized data infrastructure.

Ensure protocol level guarantees around transparency and trust.

Compute should be provable, auditable, and autonomous.

3. Build Privacy and Sovereign Data Systems

Develop Zero Knowledge primitives supporting private computation.

Design and evolve the EDEK system for client side encryption and data sovereignty.

Implement cryptographic primitives supporting decentralized data ownership.

Ensure privacy preserving architecture across protocol layers.

Data sovereignty must be designed into the protocol itself.

4. Maintain Protocol Governance and Security

Maintain and upgrade the OpenGov governance framework.

Implement governance improvements for protocol upgrades and voting.

Conduct internal security audits of protocol upgrades and smart contracts.

Ensure production networks operate reliably and securely.

Protocol governance should be transparent, secure, and resilient.

Requirements

7+ years of engineering experience with strong expertise in Rust.

Deep experience working with Substrate and blockchain runtime development.

Strong understanding of applied cryptography, including hashing, signatures, and ZK proofs.

Experience architecting distributed systems and consensus mechanisms.

Familiarity with on chain governance frameworks such as Polkadot/OpenGov.

Experience building or modifying core blockchain protocol components.

Experience deploying and maintaining blockchain nodes and networks.

Hands on experience running testnet and mainnet infrastructure.

Strong experience with Linux environments and containerized deployments.

Experience with Docker / Docker Compose (Kubernetes is a plus).

Familiarity with monitoring systems, logs, and network metrics.(Kubernetes is a plus)

Nice to Have:

Experience with Substrate FRAME, runtime development, or pallet design.

Background in Computer Science or equivalent high impact Web3 experience.

Benefits

Real Equity: We treat early team members like partners. You’ll receive meaningful equity so the upside you help create is shared.

Direct Access to Leadership: You are part of the core conversation. You will work side by side with the CEO and founders every day to solve hard problems and set the strategy.

Work on Hard, Emerging Problems: We are building infrastructure for AI agents operating on sensitive, real-time data without relying on centralized black box platforms. While parts of this ecosystem exist, the architecture for doing it securely and reliably at scale is still evolving.

Small Team, High Output: We believe the best teams are small and extremely capable. AI tools increase individual leverage, so we hire fewer people and expect a much higher level of ownership and output.

Autonomy With Accountability: We hire people who don’t wait for permission to solve problems. If you see a better way to build something, you’re expected to propose it and ship it.

Remote With Real Collaboration: We are a remote-first team but believe strong collaboration requires real interaction. The team meets regularly in San Francisco and Europe for focused building sessions and hackathons.

EU citizenship is valued (but not exclusive).

Type of position: HYBRID with relocation

iTechCareer Latam Team

Senior Product Engineer Berlín Germany

What You’ll Be Working On

As a Senior Product Engineer, you’ll take full ownership of major product areas — architecting our product, working closely with customers, and shipping high-impact features end-to-end.

Projects you would have worked on in the past:

Building and iterating on a ‘filtering’ layer that allows customers to filter the employees being sent to us after discovering that building this in-house is the #1 blocker for their implementation

(De)-validating a LLM-based approach to building integrations more efficiently in a few-week PoC

Allowing customers to receive real-time data by extending our integration framework & infrastructure to handle millions of webhooks per day

Stack: TypeScript (required), Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, GCP, Docker, Prisma.

You don’t need to know everything — we value strong fundamentals and learning velocity.

The Challenge

You’re joining at a critical time. We’ve proven strong product-market fit and our biggest problem is keeping up with customer demand. This means:

You’ll build features that customers actively request and start using the same day – we often get “when can we have this?” messages within hours of releasing new features

Identify and solve problems without bureaucracy — we release 20 + times per day and move fast

Operate in a high-growth environment (2–3× per year) that feels like a new company every few months

Who We’re Looking For

We hire entrepreneurial engineers who want to move fast and maintain a high bar for quality.

On a high level, we are looking for entrepreneurial people that are at the top-of-their-game. People at Kombo come from Harvard, Oxford, Stanford, CODE etc., 50% are ex-founders themselves and in general have always done hard, impressive things. Specifically for this role, we are looking for the following skills:

Expertise in designing B2B Software applications

Ideally 5-8+ years of software development experience

Proficiency or capacity to learn our tech stack: Node.js, React, Postgres, Prisma, TypeScript

Enthusiastic and collaborative work attitude

Previous experience leading a team is a plus!

Previous founding experience is a plus!

This role is perfect for an experienced engineer looking to join a company that has already proven product-market fit but is still in its early days. You are likely a great fit, if:

You thrive when you have autonomy, own as many of the details as possible, and project manage your own work

You have strong engineering fundamentals, code efficiently, and you know what you’re great at and what you’re less great at

You dislike meetings and would much rather focus your time on building, being productive, and shipping code

Location: This is a Berlin-based onsite role — we believe the best ideas happen together, in person.

Note that while we are rather looking for senior candidates at the moment, we are open to various levels of experience, and if in doubt, please apply :)

Lead Fullstack Engineer Berlín, Germany

We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join as one of our first team members. You will own parts of the codebase and the glue to frontend our audio-analysis backend. This is a high-impact lead engineer position – ideal for someone who loves to mix cutting-edge frontend development with backend and infra.

What You’ll Do

Lead Fullstack Development: Migrate our prototype into a production-grade Next.js 14 app. Design the architecture for scale and maintainability as we grow.

Build Real-Time Features: Develop a type-safe API (tRPC/REST/GraphQL) to interface with our Python audio analysis engine, optimizing for low-latency streaming of data. Make sure subtitles and emotions appear on screen in real time.

Creative Prototyping: Work with our design/ML team to build emotion-driven subtitle animations in the browser. Experiment quickly with libraries like Framer Motion or WebGL, and turn successful experiments into core features.

DevOps & Quality: Set up CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code. Ensure we can release features confidently and continuously.

Tech Leadership: As a lead engineer, establish coding standards and best practices. Mentor future hires or junior contributors. You’ll have significant influence on technical decisions and the product roadmap.

What You Bring

Frontend Expertise: 3+ years building modern web applications with React.js, Next.js and TypeScript. You’ve built responsive, performant UIs and have an eye for good design.

Full-Stack Know-How: Comfortable writing backend logic for APIs and working with databases. Fluent in HTTP/WebSocket fundamentals and crafting efficient data contracts between client and server.

Creative Coding Mindset: Passion for visual polish – maybe you’ve dabbled in creative coding (Canvas, WebGL, SVG animations) or have a portfolio of visually impressive projects. You care about pixels and performance.

Ownership & Drive: You love taking projects from 0→1. Experience migrating prototypes to production – you favor iterative improvement over big rewrites. Startup mindset (rapid testing, adaptability, “done is better than perfect”) and the strive to ship your first feature to production by end of the first week.

Quality Focus: Write clean, maintainable code. You have used or set up CI/testing pipelines and appreciate the value of automated tests.

Team Player: Excellent communicator, able to work closely with non-technical colleagues. You share knowledge, seek feedback, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Cloud deployment know-how (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure scaling.

Nice to Have

Experience with audio/video processing (e.g. FFmpeg) or media streaming.

Familiarity with Framer Motion, GSAP or other animation libraries.

Contributions to design systems or creative tech libraries (e.g. Three.js, p5.js).

German language skills (not required; our working language is English).

Why PHONT

Impact & Ownership: Join a core team of founders and shape a product from the ground up. Your decisions will define our tech stack and user experience.

Competitive Salary + Equity: We offer a market-rate salary (commensurate with experience) and VSOP stock options (participate in our success). We’ll discuss a range openly to ensure we’re aligned.

Creative Culture: We blend engineering with art. If you get excited by creative coding, generative art, or pushing the boundaries of UI, you’ll feel at home. We value design and pixel-perfection as much as robust code.

Growth Opportunities: As an early employee, you can grow into a Lead Engineer role. You’ll mentor others and define our engineering culture.

Flexible Work: Hybrid-friendly – work remotely or join us in our Frankfurt office. Flexible hours as long as the work gets done.

Equipment & Learning: New MacBook Pro or Windows laptop of your choice, plus budget for conferences, courses, or creative projects in the realm of human-computer interaction.

Our Mission is to Make Subtitles Come Alive. If the idea of turning audio sentiment into living design excites you, we want to hear from you!

How we hire

Jump in an intro call with the team.

Complete the take-home exercise

Show us how you approach problems during two technical interviews

Join us for trial work lasting 2 days. We’ll see how you tick and you get to meet the team and explore whether joining PHONT feels right for you.
