Audio Deep Learning AI Engineer, Viena, Austria

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid position for a Deep Learning AI Engineer. The role focuses on designing and implementing deep learning architectures, as well as optimizing neural networks for real-time performance. The primary work location is Vienna, Austria. Candidates with a valid EU work permit are preferred.

Qualifications

Degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a focus on audio, acoustics, or speech signal processing

3+ years of relevant professional experience

Deep expertise in neural networks, pattern recognition, optimization techniques, generative models (e.g., GANs), and large language models

Strong background in statistical modeling, linear algebra, calculus, complex analysis, and information theory, with the ability to develop new algorithms and mathematical models

Research or work experience in at least one of the following areas: audio DSP, speech/voice recognition, voice biometrics, sound event detection, acoustic modeling, speech synthesis, or similar applications

Advanced programming skills in C, C++, and Python, including relevant libraries and real-time computing (RTC)

Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

Ability to implement and deploy algorithms for real-time systems

Experience applying deep learning models in real-world environments

Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail

Experience publishing research and conducting benchmarking

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams, translating complex technical concepts for various audiences

EU Citizenship is valued (but it is not exclusive)
