IT Systems Engineer for Infrastructure (f/m/d)
Your Mission:
Become a key player in shaping the future of IT infrastructure!
As an IT Systems Engineer, you will design and manage customized IT solutions to ensure the stability and performance of our systems. Your deep expertise in system and network administration will be essential in optimizing and securing our infrastructure in a fast-paced, agile work environment.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop, administer, and monitor the IT infrastructure landscape (e.g., VMware vSphere, Proxmox, Grafana/Prometheus)
Maintain virtualized and network infrastructure
Manage standard services (e.g., Rancher, Kubernetes)
Create and maintain technical documentation and incident root cause analyses
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues (Incident & Problem Management)
Collaborate with Development and QA teams
Coordinate with suppliers and service providers
Your Profile:
3+ years of professional experience in IT operations, ideally with outsourced data centers
Strong expertise in system administration (Linux, Rancher, Kubernetes, VMware vSphere, Proxmox)
Solid knowledge of networking and security tools (e.g., Firewalls, F5)
Experience with scripting and automation
Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jira, Confluence, Asana, and iTop is an advantage
Analytical thinker with a structured and solution-oriented approach
Independent, flexible, and proactive mindset
Fluent in both German and English

Attractive Compensation: A competitive salary package will be offered based on your experience and qualifications. The legally required minimum gross annual salary for this role (full-time, 38.5 hours/week) is approximately EUR 43,000, but we are open to negotiation.
