What You'll Be Doing Design and implement scalable service architectures using Java and Vert.X, deployed on AWS.
Operate and monitor production systems using tools such as Nomad, Consul, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Integrate third-party providers and services into a leading real-money gaming platform.
Translate business requirements into resilient and scalable software solutions for sports betting and casino products.
Work on high-volume transactional systems for one of the largest regulated markets in Europe.
Collaborate within a small, focused engineering team to deliver new functionality.
Contribute to open-source libraries and internal tooling.
Be part of a multinational team, representing over 15 nationalities.

Your Profile Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics—or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years of hands-on professional development experience.
Fluency in English (German is a plus).
Proficiency in Java or a similar language with experience in reactive, event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of service protocols such as REST and gRPC.
Experience with message brokers like Kafka or JMS.
Familiarity with rxJava, Vert.X, Docker, and microservice architecture.
Experience operating backend systems in cloud environments; knowledge of Linux, scripting languages, or provisioning tools is a plus.
Understanding of AWS services (S3, EC2) and cloud architecture best practices is beneficial.
Experience implementing cloud-native microservices is considered a strong advantage.
