Senior PHP Backend Developer, Viena Austria

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior PHP Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Vienna. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge web applications that provide exceptional user experiences.

What You’ll Do: 

Develop high-performance, scalable, and maintainable backend systems using PHP (Laravel) and other relevant technologies (e.g., Python).

Design and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Champion best practices in software engineering, including comprehensive unit testing, code reviews, test automation, and CI/CD integration.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, frontend) to deliver outstanding user experiences.

Stay up to date by researching and evaluating emerging technologies to continuously enhance our products and engineering processes.

What You’ll Bring:

Minimum 2 years of experience developing and deploying production-grade web applications.

Strong foundation in PHP and the Laravel framework, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

Expertise in working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), containerization (Docker), and DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code).

Growth mindset with a passion for learning and continuously improving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Fluency in English.
